  • hi there fellow trucker (ex in my case) and i see fellow taurean. like your art.

  • hi you! i had to make myself go to sleep as i had a really long day ahead and lots of travelling. i had a meeting today in london at head office and travelled down on sunday. as i was south , and my son middle son is in brighton i went down there to take him out to eat...he's tall and skinny and a student and probably doesn't feed himself properly...... ooops i've gone into mummy mode!!! i love the train journey - i must look it up on the map i think some of it must run alongside the grand union canal but there are lots of canals and lovley narrowboats, many with smoke coming out of their chimneys this afternoon. hope all is well with you and that you had a beautiful day!
  • what feels like the middle of the night but is probably almost brekkies for some...

  • thanks dude
  • just thought i'd put this here before the mods pull me up for being off topic!!! there is a guy in glastonbury who i get my oil from. he slow cold presses it there in a whole foods/alternatives co-operative. he was starting to do nigella seed oil too which is brilliant also. have you tried putting hulled hemp seeds in flapjacks ( if you make them!!!) and in home made choccy truffles - absolutely brilliant. also hulled hempseed in homemade veggie burgers. it's probably the best plant in the world. i used to have lots of clothes made from hemp fabric. it's a while since i bought anything tho. i crocheted a blanket for h when he was a baby with hemp and wool yarn. hemp and it's uses is a pet subject of mine - i used to have several books on teh subject but they got loaned out and in the end never get returned - i think i'm down to two now! i lived in south london for several years...i hate it too. i quite like where we are now which is amazing cos i'm not really a city girl. but it's the job....needs must etc. we moved here from living near the beach at the mull of kintyre.
  • i tell you what tho,it was bloody cold! It takes so long for the boat to heat up,and ya got to get the decent coal otherwise the wood gets canned, nonetheless gotta admit its nice and quiet, only the brave walked their dogs, and the usual traffic o boats a complete standstill, like some strange post disaster movie,no zombies just very fat looking robins. As for London canal-life? Its like amother sub culture, with all kinds o folk living back to back; almost like a hidden city inside a city.(more often than not,its a pretty mixed bag. . . I lived in Camden for almost a year (not on a boat) and that was enough for me. . . Have a good weekend :)
  • i took h to widnes to the panto a couple of weeks ago and we saw lots of narrow boats frozen in the canal.....i was guessing that they were just so cosy inside tho! i have to go to london from time to time and there seem to be hundreds of them! it's lovely to have kids around...and visits from my older ones are wonderful, but not often enough. i know they have their own lives but i really miss them. my youngest is 7 - my middle one is 21 this year and the eldest live in the us and is almost 24. have fun with your son...and a wonderful weekend!
  • :hippy:morning flower  it looks like a bit of a soggy one outdoors :sunflower maybe time to move overseas next?! somewhere sunnier and warmer?? but i like the tree house too much...:flower: running late - have a lovley day!
