hmm, that's actually a lot. As a additional Heater ok to run it for 10 minutes and then get outta bed on a cold morning. As the main heating not really practical..
Oh, that is really a nice small heater, and 1.2 kw is fine..
The one I used was at least 3kw as far as I remember, way to much for my little bus.
If the gas consumption isn't that high it could be a nice addition to my truma 3002.
10C, very cloudy, misty morning..
I tried it 25 years ago in a VW bus..
It is not just dangerous, you will also have a quite high humidity in the car which makes it not really a comfortable warmth.
Got myself a small truma heater then, that was perfect
If you are tight on budget it could be useful to get something quite common, so hopefully spareparts and repairs are not that expensive..
A friend of mine got himself a petrol Berlingo from 2006, he is quite happy with it.
Fun fact, in Germany it is the other way round, petrol cars are cheaper in Tax, but diesel is up to 20p cheaper per litre.
This thread reminds me that I have to register my good old ”Mathilda” to the ULEZ..
Built in ‘72, should be fine
Really cool project, love the door!
Insulating isn´t fun, its work you cant see when everything is finished..
But you will be happy in winter
Hi macbanana, welcome
A nice cup of coffee..
Reminder to myself: Put some dry cider in the fridge
thanks for the warm welcome I'll try to post some pictures of my good old bus "Mathilda" tomorrow..
There is a bit of stress going on at the moment as I had to leave her behind in the UK with strange noises coming from the back axle after my Wales-Trip, had to fly back to Germany in a hurry because of some deadlines..
but everything will be fine and sorted out soon
my main music genre is alternative/ gothic rock ( I know it died years ago in the uk, but is still alive in germany ;)), as a producer I do kind a everything, from singer songwriter to rock/blues/ pop to medieval music with bagpipes and other old instruments. Have to be flexible to survive in that slowly dying business.. cheers, Lutz
found this forum cause I was looking for spare parts and a good workshop for my old mercedes 608 in the south east london/ surrey area..
Found lots of useful information and thought I have to register myself
To introduce myself, I am Lutz, a musician and music producer, located both in germany and south - east london/ surrey. I am running a '72 mercedes 608, a former mobile supermarket
greetings to all,
