  • What ! even a false tan like trumpleberry ? He is prepared, it will be gaffa taped to the floor , or a trick deck chair with a spike that goes up your botty, with barbs so you cannot get off:eek:

What do you care? Sitting out there with your sheep & horses in the countryside?

You starting to sound like a bread woman? :whip:

  • I see the lawyers have got in on the act and have, at least temporarily, halted the ban.

  • Actually Seattle (Washington state) voted in a real socialist (not that democrat bullshit) to the city council recently. Kshama Sawant is an American socialist politician, activist and member of the Socialist Alternative. So, yeah, some politicians still do have integrity. In her own words - "I was elected by working people in Seattle to be a voice for raising the minimum wage, for affordable housing, and for taxing the rich to fund public transportation and public education."
Trump is just going to love her!

  • sounds good on paper, but I don't trust any politician any more, there is usually someone or something in the background pulling the strings, which is one reason I like Trump-he isn't a politician he's a businessman and he's used to getting things done, and unlike politicians he is actually keeping his election promises, which is a novel concept these days.

  • whaaaat? Not even "Nigel"?

he and Trump are the only one's who say what they will do and actually do it, every other politician is a liar, look at "Teflon Tony" when the heck do he ever tell the truth, and Corbyn dosent know whether he is on his arse or his elbow.

I agree with everything you said. But Trump and Farage also have it in common that they are racist control freaks of the far right. Now, what happened when the far right got into power in Europe in the last century? Ah yes, it was war, genocide, millions dead, and vile oppressive dictators persisting for four decades into the 1960s. And how did that start? ISTR in Germany and Italy it was through a democratic process. In this country, the right will have to get a lot stronger before it can seriously bid for power, but it is organising and growing rapidly, and seems to have got control of its lunatic fringe (BNP &c) which is so offensive even to the average UKIP supporter. Meanwhile on the left we have the loony tunes brigade. When Labour has sorted itself out, or split into factions, we may get some kind of balance, but meanwhile the right is leading the Tories by the nose. For those of us who are not racist, who do not relish the prospect of armed conflict in Europe, and who do not invite Armageddon so that we can be the last one standing, this is all very bad news.

  • I think you are confusing Far Right with Fascism, it is possible to be a patriot and love one's country and not be a Nazi,(don't you have to be German to be a Nazi?) the two are not compulsory. 2 world wars started because Germany wanted to rule all Europe, something they have accomplished already without firing a shot by using money instead, its called the EU, a system so corrupt that the auditors have been unable and unwilling to balance the books for over 20 years.
people have had enough, that's why the result of the referendum was leave, and why you are seeing parties led by such people as Marine Le Pen and Kurt wilders, whether they will be successful is up to their respective voters.

  • incidentally, I think all the violence we are seeing, in America, in this country and parts of Europe, is nothing to do with the far right, but more to do with the far left who are unwilling to accept the decision of elections because their candidate or their cause lost.

Don't think I used the term Nazi did I?

Quote from Wikipedia on Fascism extract

Since the end of World War II in 1945, few parties have openly described themselves as fascist, and the term is instead now usually used pejoratively by political opponents. The descriptions neo-fascist or post-fascist are sometimes applied more formally to describe parties of the far right with ideologies similar to, or rooted in, 20th century fascist movements.

A price worth paying for 60 years of peace in Europe. Now we are going to have to learn Russian thanks to the popular successes of Mr Trump and Mr Farage and the effect on the EU, NATO, etc.

Can the peopel ever be wrong? The Hitler and Mussolini experiences suggest "yes".

  • The EU didn't keep the peace for 70 years that was down to Nato, the EU hasn't even got an army(yet) how on earth can it keep the peace? that's just a political fallacy.
if you think Russia has any interest in a tiny little island like GB then your dead wrong, its enemy always has been the US.

  • if your intent on looking for enemies your looking in the wrong place, try IRAN and NORTH KOREA instead.

Who knows. But you as a UKIP and BNP man will blame the left anyway, it's in the rule book.

Frustrated people are at the mercy of "leadership" from right and left which at the extremes is often violent. Historically I think that the thugs of the extreme right organisations have been the most troublesome, but if someone hits you with a brick who cares, it still hurts.

  • most of the worst political thugs can be found in the Labour party.
anyway its politics and we can talk all day about it and get nowhere such is the nature of the beast, what is it they say "there is nothing guaranteed in this life except death and taxes":D

if you want to talk about extremists the ones we really have to be wary of are "radical Islam" they are far worse than the left or right, politicians dont behead people but that lot do. and they dont have to invade, they are already here amongst us.

  • And what happens when the far left get into power ? Oh yes , war , genocides , millions dead , vile oppressive dictators that only relinquish power through death , either a normal one or been dragged up a lamppost .

Seems to me that the people that are behaving more like fascist are the anti fascist , wanting to silence people by no platforming speakers they don't agree with from universities and violently protesting to get their own way .

Douglas Murray - Some ' anti fascist ' need to look in the mirror.

    No, look at Ukraine.

Probably not interested in us, but we could be trouble, so we would be the first one to nuke if they go for a military invasion in the East which we are bound to oppose.

    Quite so.
