I'm so jealous! I wish I could be bothered to do that! It's supposed to be my job, to make stuff all day and then sell it. But i havent made anything for a few days now...
(again, sorry I'm drunk still)
What arts and craft things have you been making lately?

i wish i could crochet! any tips for beginners?
There's a good video here: [ame='http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=w45qDIM5S9Y']YouTube - how to crochet 1[/ame]
You'd be amazed how many things you can make with just the bare basics
-
I've been making things from pine needles, leaf stems and paper....call me weird if you want (it wouldn't be the first time)
BUT I love playing with natural materials!!!! -

Ooh i love that!I've just finished making a lovely pixie dress. I made it from white fabric so it's in the washing machine being dyed now. Can't wait to see it when it's done!

Imbolc goddess necklace with amazing tiger iron pendant, moonstone chips, onyx chips, aventurine, glass and button closure. And today I learned to knit! I can cast on, knit and purl
I'm going to make Izzy a teeny comfort blanket out of different squares until I feel brave enough and competent enough to try that kimono pattern Pumpkin posted a while ago. -
That is beautiful PTM
-
Mooncat - your creations are wonderful - i love them
PTM beautiful pendant and well done on the knitting - the baby kimono was what prompted me to learn - i'm onto ribbing now cos i'm trying to knit baby leg warmers

well my god daughter has a webkinz plush toy (if you not sure what a webkinz plush toy is go on this site and take a tour webkinz.com.) and instead of buying her the little clothes that you can buy to put on it I have started to make her little outfit for it out of old clothes that i no longer wear it is actually quite fun because i have half scale blocks that fit it perfectly
-
I have been making patchwork belts and headbands. i should hopefully have some pictures next week
-
Knitting!
And my first attempt at needle-felting... the colours are deeper than the photo shows...
I am gradually felting a string of beads too, but it takes forever as Izzy gets bored very quickly!
-
whats needle felting? how do you do it? im currently doing the kimono pattern its knitting up quite well.
-
It's where you have a sharp, long needle with teeny barbs on it, if you're doing a panel like the above, you're poking bits of the roving through the fabric to hold it together. Or if you're doing 3d things, you're sort of tangling the wool together manually...
umm, this will explain it better: http://www.livingfelt.com/free…edleFeltingLivingFelt.htm
-
needle felting is cool, Ive always wondered how you do it
-
i've made a stack of baby/childrens clothes to sell
-
I've made a few things lately
I saw something similar to this online, so thought I'd give it a go. A tired little table that I painted purple (looks black in the photo, but it's definitely purple) and varnished and then decoupaged some cheap tarot cards on the top.
A waving lucky cat made out of a pair of socks.
And I'm in the process of sewing a dress at the moment. It's by no means perfect, but not too awful considering I've never even looked at a pattern before (and not to mention the amount of verbal abuse my poor sewing machine gets!).
-
*squeeee* I love that kitty!
-
oo that table is a great idea! i was just about to get rid of some old tarot cards too...*brews up crafty plan*
-
Crocheted some friendship chockers for me and Katie. Have to do Rachel one tomorrow :).
I know they're only simple - but I've just started.
-
Very cute! love the buttons
-
I'm wearing mine now and I love it!
But you have to teach me how to do it properly because I can't get my head around it -
this is a little Rat-Elf asleep. I had Andy (the rat) in mind when I painted it because he's always snoozing and daydreaming

I have a load of necklaces left over from a craft stall i had, i'm remodeling some at the moment so i can sell them.
