Well, over the past 10 months, I've worked on and off on what was to be a baby blanket for baby Izzy, Princesstigermouse's little girl. When I learned she was pregnant I thought I'd make her something special.
Since the original thought, it's evolved several times, and at various stages I was keeping PTM in the dark totally about what I'd planned to do.
So now I know it is finally in their hands, and hopefully being enjoyed by all, I figured I'd show some photos of the various stages of making it, and it's completed self.
Here was how it originally started after finding the pattern for the daisy square, I had made several and stitched them together.
But ultimately it seemed much to flimsy and delicate for practical daily use. So then I modified the square pattern adding a thicker border between the daisies.
Doing this meant it took up more of the colour used in the border, so I decided to add a few more colours to it, other than the pink and lilac.
And this is how it looked when I finished it.
So what started out as a delicate baby blanket, has turned into a blanket that hopefully can be used for many years as little Izzy grows up into a little girl.
